Raise your hand if you have to turn to Google any time you want to make a hard boiled egg. No? Just me? Despite having been making them for years - they're the perfect healthy savory snack! - I can never quite remember how to do it. The timing and the different water temperatures are apparently too much for my brain to remember. Now that I have my Instant Pot, though, I'll never have to Google again! (Well, on how to make hard boiled eggs at least.) Seriously, this is the easiest thing ever and will make the perfect egg every time. Plus, you can throw a bunch in there and make them all at once - breakfast all week! Instant Potheads (I'm hilarious), go forth and hard boil!
Perfect Hard Boiled Eggs (Instant Pot)
Serves 1 per egg
Pour one cup of water in the Instant Pot. Place your trivet inside (like the one that comes with the IP), and place your eggs on top. Close lid and seal vent. Select Manual and set pressure to high for 5 minutes. Quick or natural release, place eggs in a big bowl of ice water for at least 5 minutes, and get peeling!
