I took a quick poll asking whether my friends and family would be interested in a day-by-day breakdown of what I've been eating on Whole30, and the answer was a resounding yes! I've linked to any recipes I actually followed so you can make it yourself, but for dishes where I winged it, let me know in the comments if you'd like me to write up the recipe.
Lucky for me (and Tim, my ever-willing tester), every recipe we tried this week was a success, so we kicked off Whole30 Week 1 with a lot of delicious food. And, before you ask, Tim is doing what he likes to call "Half15" - he eats what I make at home, but out of the house, anything is fair game!
PS - unless I had a special breakfast, I’m not listing it, because I have either an Apple Cinnamon RX bar (my favorite flavor - I just ordered a huge box!) or a banana for breakfast every day (affiliate link).
Day 1 (Wednesday, January 2):
Brunch: Fried eggs and paleo bacon (i.e. no added sugar)
Dinner: Serious Eats Roasted Chicken Breast with roasted broccoli and potatoes
Day 2 (Thursday, January 3):
Lunch: Day 1 Leftovers
Dinner: Crispy Roasted Chicken Thighs with roasted broccoli and potatoes
Day 3 (Friday, January 4):
Lunch: Chipotle’s Whole30 Salad (lettuce, carnitas, fajita veggies, tomato salsa, and guacamole) - also, learned the hard way you can’t order this by name in the physical store, unlike the app/website, so make sure you know what goes in it!
Dinner: Nom Nom Paleo Pressure Cooker Lamb Shanks with mashed potatoes (we eat a lot of potatoes on Whole30/Half15 but we’re trying to sub them out more often)
Day 4 (Saturday, January 5):
Lunch: Day 3 Leftovers
Dinner: Roast beef with horseradish sauce with roasted broccoli and potatoes
Day 5 (Sunday, January 6):
Lunch: Chipotle Whole30 Salad
Dinner: Sous vide porterhouse steak with roasted asparagus
Day 6 (Monday, January 7):
Lunch: Cava salad (lots of Whole30 options!)
Dinner: The Defined Dish Whole30 Chicken Tenders with roasted cauliflower
Day 7 (Tuesday, January 8):
Lunch: Day 6 Leftovers
Dinner: Burgers on lettuce wraps with baked sweet potato fries
